Lin has been
entertaining hundreds of friends and strangers alike. By intently
focusing on their faces for a few seconds, she can give them a long list of
their personality traits, their habits, likes, behavioral attitudes, tendencies,
preferences, needs, expectations, and more. She tells them things they
thought no one else knows. Is it fun…you bet. What a laugh to know everything
about you is written in your face. Do people enjoy having their face read? They
are absolutely fascinated. This will be a totally new and unique
experience for you or your party guests.
A
FACE can be read like a map that points the way to a deeper understanding of
yourself and others. A widely held, common-sense assumption is that a person's
character is revealed in his or her face. Abraham Lincoln went so far as to say
we are not responsible for how we look at birth, but by the age 50, our face
bears the record of a lifetime of choices. We already know that each feature on
our face has a structural significance. Eyes for sight, noses for breathing,
ears for listening. Each feature also reveals an insight into a person's
personality.
From a FACE READING perspective, eyes indicate emotional styles and stress
levels, noses are about support and confidence, and ears reveal independence and
our desire to listen. Every feature and every line on a face is a physical
embodiment of the mental, emotional, and spiritual patterns and habits of its
owner. Emotions, temperament, attitudes, and potentials all show through our
faces. Everyone understands the importance of facial expression in
communication. We know the meaning of a smile or a frown, but few people realize
that a face is a living record and personality profile rolled into one. Each
face reflects in its structure and lines its owner's history.
Take a moment and validate FACE READING for yourself. Think of a person
with large full lips in relationship to the rest of their facial features. The
person in your mind enjoys receiving lots of attention and love interacting with
others. How about that person you know that has proportionately thin lips?
Haven't you found these people to be less outgoing and on the quiet side? Think
of a person with a very large or thick, short neck. Isn't he or she one of the
most stubborn people you know? Isn't that amazing?
THE HISTORY OF FACE READING
The practice of physiognomy or face reading is an ancient art known around
the world. It has been a part of Chinese medicine for centuries. It has been a
facet of Western civilization starting with the Greeks. Aristotle wrote a
treatise devoted entirely to the study of face reading.
During the Renaissance, "Physiognomy" found general and enthusiastic
acceptance. From Leonardo da Vinci to Michelangelo, from Roger Bacon to
Shekespeare, ""physiognomy" formed the basis for Renaissance psychology. The
movement cultivated in the late 1700's with the published "Essays on
Physiognomy" by Johann Kasper Lavater. In 1800, Dr. Franz Joseph Gall published
his first findings on the functioning areas of the cerebrum. Gall is still
credited with being the father of modern brain research.
Many followed in Lavater's footsteps. In 1938, Dr. Edward Vincent Jones
put together a synthesis of phrenology, physiognomy, and his own independent
observations, which he called "Personology". Robert and Elizabeth Whiteside
became his ardent disciples and, in 1957, incorporated the Interstate College of
Personology-it's credentials established by Robert Whiteside's solid base of
statistical validations for Jones' work. Robert Whiteside's validation
procedures were ethical and covered 1,060 random adult males and females from
1950-1955.
The result? "Personology" Face reading's validation came out on the 1%
level-which means that this validation could not happen by chance one time out
of a hundred. That's really quite remarkable and Robert Whiteside deserves our
appreciation and respect.
In 1963, Gordon Stokes completed his studies with the Whitesides and their
son Daniel. Daniel Whiteside and Gordon Stokes formed a partnership and formed
"Three in One Concepts" it is through this organization that I completed my
studies of Face Reading (or as they say at Three In One Concepts"
Structure/function). I have continued to search out every document on the topic
for my further knowledge.
What about genetics?
Isn't the way my face looks due to genetics? Our physical appearance does
have a strong genetic component, but scientists have discovered that many of our
personality and character traits also have a genetic origin.
Face reading is based on the observation made through centuries that there
is a correlation between the structure of our face and the personality or
character of the person.
Our total personality is a combination of both nature and nurture. We are
marked by the major events in our life. These lines can appear almost
immediately, and serve as a permanent record of their life experience. |
